This workshop provides a foundation level understanding of project management. Participants are introduced to the Project Management Framework as described by the Project Management Institute’s Project Management Body of Knowledge. All project management processes and knowledge areas are covered. Participants are guided by a case study to justify a typical project, develop a charter, define the scope and assess stakeholders. The work breakdown structure (WBS) is developed and used to create a network diagram, estimate duration and create a schedule so that a critical path is identified. Risk responses are developed along with a communications plan. Participatns leave with templates and a plan to “take action”. Materials comply with PMBOK® Fourth Edition.
This workshop is designed for project managers, project coordinators and team leaders responsible for leading, communicating, negotiating, problem solving and influencing the organization.
